EAA
Airventure - Oshkosh, WI |
 |
|
The annual EAA AirVenture fly-in for 2006 at
Oshkosh, WI is fast approaching. Terrafugia will
be there as promised for the full week (July
24-30) in Booth 118. We will be displaying the
1/5th scale wind tunnel model of the Transition
that completed its testing in the Wright Brothers
Wind Tunnel at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT) this spring (see the 5/14 update
for more). Also, you will be able to reserve your
place in the delivery order for the Transition by
placing a $7,400 deposit at Oshkosh. This
represents 5% of the anticipated purchase price of
$148,000. This is an introductory
offer, and it is valid only through Oshkosh at
this time. All deposits will be held in
interest-bearing, fully-refundable, escrow
accounts at Bank of America until such time as
Terrafugia is able to begin production of your
vehicle and a final sales agreement is signed.
In addition to our own space at AirVenture,
Terrafugia has been asked to join the exhibit
hosted by the CAFE Foundation, creators of the
Personal Air Vehicle Centennial Challenge http://cafefoundation.org/v2/pav_home.php.
At both locations you will be able to help us get
to you know you better by filling out a survey or
comment card.
For those of you lucky enough to be able to
join as at Oshkosh next week, look for us not only
at our booth and with the CAFE Foundation, but
also at the following talks:
- Friday, July 28, 7p - Roadable Aircraft
Forum
- Saturday, July 29, 5:30p - The Transition PAV
(04 Air BP Pavillion)
See you there! |
