The Transition® Proof of Concept
On a blustery winter morning, Col. Phil Meeter, USAFR (Ret.) made history by successfully flying the Transition® aircraft for the first time. It was March 5th, 2009 in Plattsburgh, NY when the Transition® dramatically began its flight test program! A series of flight tests followed the initial flight demonstrating the viability and capabilities of an aircraft that can also drive legally on the road. The flight test program was completed several months later. This was followed by a year of design improvements and modifications. The updated design of the Transition® can be seen here.
Below are a set of photos documenting the Transition® Proof of Concept.
