View the Conference Brochure and Registration Form
Terrafugia would like to thank the FAA New England Airports Division for hosting us at this event. The feedback that we received from local airports in the Region continues to be valuable as we work to make the Transition as user-friendly as possible.
The 2006 FAA New England Annual Airports Conference was October 23-25 in Burlington, MA. The conference was a chance to provide information to "all airport professionals" and included updates on funding, design, planning, environmental issues, and public relations. Terrafugia Chief Operating Officer Anna Mracek Dietrich spoke during lunch on Tuesday October 24 about the company, the Transition, and the practical utilization of the existing infrastructure as a Transition owner.

May 6, 2006: Terrafugia Presents the Transition
Hosted by EAA106 at Daniel Webster College
May 6 - Nashua , NH -- "Transition" - The new and practical FLYING CAR. The Greater Boston Chapter EAA106 hosts MIT graduates of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics who are designing the 'Transition' as a multi-purpose Personal Air Vehicle (PAV). Their newly-formed company, Terrafugia, will present a brief history of dual-mode vehicles and the reasons why the flying car hasn't made it to commercial reality - until now. Their presentation will introduce the Transition (which meets the Light Sport Aircraft requirements yet is also street legal like any other automobile). Terrafugia is also seeking audience feedback. Bring a fellow pilot!! The presentation will be held 10am-noon in the Auditorium at the Daniel Webster College (DWC). After the presentation, If desired, the DWC cafeteria has an extended all-you-can-eat brunch available for $5.50. If flying in, DWC is located adjacent to Boire Field (ASH). For driving maps and directions go to www.EAA106.org or e-mail info@EAA106.org.
Event Notes:
EAA 106, led by Penny Bowman, with much-appreciated support from the AIAA and Daniel Webster College, gave Terrafugia a very nice venue to present the Transition and a history of dual-mode vehicles and to get feedback from the audience. The questions immediately following the talk - and the conversation at the lunch which followed - were very helpful as we continue to get feedback from the aviation community. As new EAA 106 members, our team will continue to benefit from the expertise and feedback from this group. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
The EAA 106 minutes from the event, written by EAA 106 Secretary Mark Hodgson are available in pdf format here.
