Woburn, MA (July 6, 2015) – Terrafugia Inc., the developer of the Transition street-legal airplane, is pleased to announce that John Bourneuf has joined the team as Vice President Development.
With over three decades of experience as an operations, engineering, and business development executive in the aerospace and energy sectors, John Bourneuf brings a wealth of expertise to the company. He has worked extensively in both domestic and international markets with a range of Fortune-500, privately held, and small start-up companies, and will be an integral new addition to the Terrafugia team.
I am thrilled that John will be joining us here at Terrafugia to spearhead business development and strategy, said Carl Dietrich, CEO. Johns background in aerospace business development will make him a vital member of the team, and will help take Terrafugia to the next level as we finalize the development and production of the Transition.
Before joining Terrafugia, Bourneuf served as VP Engineering at Belcan Engineering Group, where he was responsible for significant client base diversification, revenue growth, and partnership development. He has also held top management positions with Precision Castparts, United Technologies, and GE Aviation, among others. He earned an M.S. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, and Bachelors degrees in Engineering and Economics at the University of Notre Dame. In addition, Bourneuf had the distinction of being awarded GEs inaugural MIT Sloan Fellowship, and holds two patents in turbine cooling systems and blade design.
I think Terrafugia is one of the most innovative and exciting companies in the field right now. I am looking forward to putting my experience in both the engineering and business sides of the aviation world to work, and helping to make flying cars a reality! said Bourneuf.
